Inauguration of VG-Tap Programme

Inauguration of second batch of VG-TAP programme (2012-13) was held on 4th October 2012 at MGR Hall HIET. Mr.Ashok Verghese , Director , Hindustan Group of Institutions presided over the meeting.

 Prof.Surendra Babu , Principal HIET polytechnic and Dr.Udupa, Advisor HIET addressed the gathering.

 Volkswagen dealers participated in the function. Sixteen students of final year automobile engineering will be undergoing the training for a period of one year.

 We are glad to mention that all the fifteen students who have undergone training during 2011-12 was recruited by various Volkswagen dealers.

HIET Celebrates Engineer’s Day

Engineers Day was celebrated at HIET on 15^th September 2012 at MGR Hall. Mr.N.Rangamani, Deputy General Manager (Engineering), Air India was the chief guest and delivered the keynote address on the topic ‘The role and prospects of Aircraft Maintenance engineer’s in the Aviation Industry’. Mr.Ramkumar Iyyer , Chief Manager , Air India (Alumni of HIET- Aircraft Maintenance Engg) and Mr.Kalaichelvan, Chief Manager, Air India also addressed the gathering. The students and staff of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Department attended the function and had a fruitful interaction with the speakers on various aspects of Aviation Industry.

VW Hands Over Jetta for HIET Students

HIET has tied up with the Volkswagen group for a part-time training course for students of Diploma in Automobile Engineering.
