Inauguration of VG-Tap Programme

Inauguration of second batch of VG-TAP programme (2012-13) was held on 4th October 2012 at MGR Hall HIET. Mr.Ashok Verghese , Director , Hindustan Group of Institutions presided over the meeting.

 Prof.Surendra Babu , Principal HIET polytechnic and Dr.Udupa, Advisor HIET addressed the gathering.

 Volkswagen dealers participated in the function. Sixteen students of final year automobile engineering will be undergoing the training for a period of one year.

 We are glad to mention that all the fifteen students who have undergone training during 2011-12 was recruited by various Volkswagen dealers.

Training Programme On CNC Machines and Programming

The final year students of DME & DAE courses attended a one day training programme on ‘CNC Machines and Programming’ at Hindustan University, Padur on 09.01.2012 & 13.01.2012. The programme consisted of Lecture Sessions and Practice & Demonstration Sessions.

The programme was conducted by the following faculty members of Hindustan University;      

1.                 Prof. T. Jeyapoovan

2.                 Dr.D. Dinakaran

3.                 Asst. Prof. Mrs. K. Jessy

4.                 Asst. Prof. Mrs. Uma Mani.

100 Students and 4 faculty members of HIET attended the programme.     The programme was well appreciated by the students & staff.
